With Crystal not Crystal, Heleen Van Haegenborgh and Benjamin Glorieux counter a world in which sophis­ti­cat­ed high tech is the norm. They focus on oth­er, more archa­ic forms of specialties.

Van Haegenborgh sees Glorieux pri­mar­i­ly as a cre­ative musi­cian but his vir­tu­os­i­ty on cel­lo will always come out on top. Crystal not Crystal will be an alter­na­tive cel­lo con­cer­to fea­tur­ing him­self, elec­tron­ics and sound­ing Val Saint Lambert objects. So that vir­tu­os­i­ty is also car­ried through visu­al­ly into the glass­ware, some of it more than 100 years old, craft­ed with the utmost pre­ci­sion. That atten­tion to detail is also what light­ing design­er Geert Van Oorlé will use to light everything.
